Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you accepting new patients?
A: Yes, I am accepting new patients. You may call my office at 732-240-4000 to setup an appointment. If you do not speak with a member of my staff directly at that time, please leave a voice-mail message and some one will get back to you.
 
Q: What should I bring with me to my first appointment with you?
A: On the day of your very first visit please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your appointment time in order to register and provide/update any information that may be required by your particular insurance carrier. Please bring insurance card, any pertinent medical records with you as well as a list of your current medications.
 
Q: Who should I call if I have a billing question?
A: Please call our office at 732-240-4000.
 
Q: How should I make payment for co-pay?
A: In cash or check only.
 
Q: Do you take urgent care or same day appointments?
A: Yes. I actually set aside some time every day for same day or urgent care visits. If there is an urgent need to see me the same day, please try to call at the start of my office hours (8:30 a.m.) and my staff will assist you in setting up a same day appointment.
 
Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?
A: 24 hours notice of a cancellation is appreciated.
 
Q: How do you communicate with your patients regarding their lab and test results?
A: All lab test are discussed with the patient over the phone as soon as the results are available. If there are any questions about your test results, you may call me and will be discussed in detail at your next visit.
 
Q: What is your medication refill policy?
A: Routine prescription renewals:
Please contact my office or your pharmacy on week day to renew your prescription.
New prescriptions:
Please call and speak to a member of my staff. Make sure you have the phone number of your pharmacy when you call.
Please note: I do not renew any narcotic prescription over the phone or weekend. You may leave a voice mail message with your pharmacy or my office staff so that your prescription can be refilled during usual business hours.
 
Q: What are your office hours?
A: On Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday and Friday, I see patients between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Thursday between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
 
Q: What are your hospital affiliations?
A: I am affiliated with the following hospitals:

Q: What should I do if I have an after-hours emergency?
A: In life-threatening situations, dial 9-1-1 for fast paramedic assistance, or go directly to a hospital emergency room.

For situations less urgent, you may call my office and I will be paged.
